· Worker responsibilities may include:
· Meeting coordination, facilitation, and presentation.
· Providing leadership and support for the planning efforts
associated with enterprise data governance.
· Communicating and coordinating with agency-level BI projects and
centers of excellence to achieve enterprise-level goals and objectives for
data governance.
· Communicating and coordinating closely with the enterprise data
warehouse technical team and other initiative teams in support of efforts
required to establish a data governance structure, identify data governance
requirements, policy, process, and standards.
· Overseeing/participating in interviews and requirements gathering
sessions including subsequent validation of those requirements.
· Documentation of and/or validation of data quality, data security,
and data retention requirements from subject area data stewards.
· Identification and documentation of data governance processes –
produce policy and process specifications as required.
WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Requirements:
Years Skills/Experience
8 Experience in data management and/or data
governance
8 Experience analyzing and documenting data
governance and data
standards needs and recommendations.
8 Documentation – Process flows, diagrams,
and technical
documentation.
5 Creation and delivery of presentations to
senior level management
and stakeholders, -- all aspects from
creative ability in
development of presentation material,
expertise in utilizing
MS/Office tools to develop the
presentation, to strong presentation
skills required for delivery of that
presentation as appropriate to the
slated audience.
5 Expert with Microsoft Office suite
(PowerPoint, Word, Excel,);
and modeling and mapping tool, MS/Visio.
4 Strong data analysis skills with prior
experience analyzing data
with an intent to identify areas that
would benefit from data
governance -- including, but not
limited to data quality issues,
data standardization requirements,
and/or data definition
requirements.
4 Experience as a lead or senior analyst
for an enterprise data
governance planning initiative.
4 In an operational/ functional data
management role, with the ability
to provide best practice ideas /
solutions for implementing quality
controls for users across program areas
/ agencies.
4 Experience coordinating, facilitating,
and documenting interviews,
requirements meetings, and/or
workshops.
2 Experience in data governance policy and
process definition.
2 Experience in data standardization
assessment and definition
1 Experience in Metadata Management
