*Location: Jacksonville, FL*** *Duration: 6 Months with Possible extension*** Rate Cap: $45 Per Hour All Inclusive * * *Oracle PL/SQL *** * * As an Oracle PL/SQL Developer, your primary role will be to design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL packages and procedures. In a development capacity, you will be expected to understand the functional requirements, translate them into the technical design and then to develop, integrate, test, and deploy the PL/SQL components. In a maintenance capacity, you may be required to analyze system problems, prepare software change requests, conduct impact analyses as well as develop, integrate, edit, and test component functionality within existing productions systems. *PRIMARY FUNCTION:* The Oracle PL/SQL Developer is responsible for design, development, and unit testing of new software applications, software application modifications, and software application integration. · Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of particular field of specialization to the completion of complex assignments, across multiple disciplines. · Under limited supervision, plans, conducts and supervises assignments. Reviews progress and evaluates results. · Assists management in planning and assigning personnel for given projects or tasks; recommends changes in procedures; reviews progress with management. This position may be assigned (but is not limited to) one of the following key information technology disciplines and/or services 1. Business Systems (JD Edwards, i2, ICON) 2. Web Technologies 3. Business Intelligence 4. EDI 5. Business Systems Quick Response *PRE EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:* * * · University degree/College Diploma in a business or IT related field and at least 5 years progressive experience supporting large to enterprise wide projects or at least 8 years progressive experience supporting large to enterprise wide projects · A minimum of 3 years of relational database experience is required and must be proficient in the creation of complex database queries for data analysis · Experience with Oracle 10G · Expertise in performance tuning · High School Diploma or GED required. *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:* * * The essential functions of the Oracle PL/SQL Developer include but are not limited to: *Technical Design* · Analyzes and evaluates existing or proposed systems and devises programs, systems and related procedures to process information. · Prepares charts and diagrams to assist in problem analysis and submits recommendations for solutions. · Prepares program specifications and diagrams, and develops coding logic flowcharts. · Codes, tests and debugs programs and procedures in coordination with IT and user departments. · Identifies technical requirements from business requirements. · Translates business and technical requirements into technical design specification for application and integration development. · Construction, prototyping and unit testing of software and integration applications. · Follows software design standards *Business Solution Support* · Works with the Business Relationship Manger and/or Project Manager to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed solutions providing assessment of project estimates in time and resources · May provide information for the development of project scope and plans. *Project Management Execution* · Follows project management standards and methodology · Interfaces with Business Systems Analyst team to translate business and technical requirements into technology design · Interfaces with Business Systems Analyst team and Quality Assurance Team in the development and approval of quality assurance test plans · Identifies and documents risks and provides consultation for mitigation Must maintain a good attendance record. *NON ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:* * * The non-essential functions of the Oracle PL/SQL Developer include but are not limited to the following: · Provide consultancy in IT strategy and planning, workflow and process design and product development. · Provide mentoring and coaching to team members · Comply to IT project methodology guidelines · Perform other tasks as assigned.
