The Manager feels this job description speaks to all experience needed -- Brocade, Clarion EMC, Pilar, VMWare, Windows OS and MS Exchange, as well as Active Directory -- solid Windows OS Implementation experience. Thank you, Deirdre • Candidate must have working knowledge of SAN fundamentals, SAN Fiber Switches, and SAN Storage Devices, iSCSI, NAS. • Candidate expected to have preliminary or basic understanding of at least some or most of the following areas : Brocade Fiber Switches, Brocade's GUI interface, Pillar Data Systems (Axiom) EMC Storage (Clariion), Device CLI. • Candidate must have VMWare ESX 3.x Implementation experience including installation, configuration, patch installation and troubleshooting hardware and the OS. Linux background is required. Experience creating, deploying and maintaining VM templates and creating and maintaining documentation required. Experience managing ESX farms, shared storage (SAN), and resources needed. Knowledge of Virtual network such as trunking, VLANs, Vmotion, DRS, Virtual Switch, and Service Console required. Experience installing and configuring Dell OpenManage a plus. • Microsoft infrastructure design, engineering and project management. • Responsible for Active Directory and Group policy design and implementation. • Install, configure and maintain Windows 2003, 2000 server environment • Install, configure and maintain MS Exchange email environment • Install, configure and maintain MS SQL Server environment. • Maintain our storage area network infrastructure. • Responsible for developing a backup strategy. • Responsible for Windows Infrastructure DR/BCP planning. • Answers, evaluates, and prioritizes incoming telephone, voice mail, e-mail, and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies. • Interviews user to collect information about problem and leads user through diagnostic procedures to determine source of error. • Logs and tracks calls using problem management database, and maintains history records and related problem documentation. • Prepares standard statistical reports, such as availability and incident reports. • Analyzes and evaluates incident reports and makes recommendations to reduce help line incident rate. • Calls software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products. • Tests software and hardware to evaluate ease of use and whether product will aid user in performing work. • Writes software and hardware evaluation and recommendation for management review. • Trains users to use new or modified equipment. • Monitors functioning of equipment to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications. • Advises management on product development issues arising from product problems identified through technical support calls with customers. • Handles customer problems that appear to arise from the use of the product. • Completes, maintains, and processes pertinent paperwork and records* * Thanks N' Regards, Vikram M** Revosys IT Inc.** 108-31, 47th Avenue, Corona, NY 11363 Ph: 347 468 7163 | Fax: 347 649 2053 [email protected] | www.revosysIT.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP ABAP" group.
