Job Title : QA Tester. Location : Boston MA. Duration : 6 Months. *REQUIRED SKILLS: * Understanding of software quality assurance and testing methodologies.· Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work closely with team members on projects.· Familiarity with test planning, test plan generation, test matrix definition, and test case specification/definition.· In depth knowledge of test script creation/execution, and defect tracking.· Conceptual knowledge of information technologies and methodologies. Understanding/experience with both Oracle and Custom application testing. Detail oriented with the ability to maintain a high level of quality. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Knowledge of automating test scripts is preferred. Applicant must meet ALL of these requirements. *Description: * The QA Analyst (or QA Tester) will assist with Test Planning, write Test Plans and Test Cases, and perform hands-on (non-automated) functional testing for a variety of applications. The Analyst/Tester will also participate in process improvement activities to improve QA processes. Position will require testing of software applications. Environment is mostly Oracle based applications with Windows .Net framework. Candidates should have a good understanding of QA methodologies. Develop and implement test plans for development cycles and system integrations. Write and execute test scenarios based on analysis of system enhancements. Create spreadsheets, calendars, and matrices to improve the testing process. Identify and regression test system bugs. Identify operational implications of enhancements. Provide support and training for Operations and Client Management Groups. Document testing procedures and methodologies. Report problems / errors in our client's system and recommend resolutions.
