Sr. UI Developer Location: Tallahassee, FL Long Term Contract Position available in Tallahassee for a Senior User Interface Developer with expertise in programming and implementing web application user interfaces. The Senior UI Developer position will provide leadership in the creation and implementation of standards for programming front-end user interfaces using advanced UI programming techniques. In addition to being the senior-level developer for advanced UI programming tasks, this position will mentor other UI Developers and act as the subject matter expert in UI programming. Required Skills: . 4 years experience in User Interface development . 5 years of current web programming experience . Strong understanding of database schema, normalization and SQL query language . Expert Knowledge and Proven experience with DHTML, CSS, XML and Javascript . Expert Knowledge and Proven experience with UI Development . Expert knowledge and understanding of Web GUI standards and good web design principles . Expert knowledge and demonstrated adaptation of cross-platform, cross-browser compatibility concerns . Ability to provide assistance and training for team members in the development and implementation of user interfaces . Ability to maintain communication with customers to ensure system meets customer's requirements . Ability to write documentation on processes and standards related to user interface programming and web development . Ability to work on multiple, concurrent project initiatives . Self-motivated and able to work cohesively within a team environment . Demonstrated leadership skills Required Education: . B.A./B.S. technical degree, related certification or equivalent experience in a technical field Preferred Skills: . Degree in MIS, CS, IS or equivalent with an emphasis in UI programming techniques and theories . 5+ years experience in User Interface Development . 7+ years of current web programming experience . Experience in Advanced Flash and ActionScript . Experience in building database-driven applications and websites . Experience working with portals and integrating apps within a portal environment . Additional programming experience in any of the following languages: Cold Fusion, C# .Net, ASP and PHP . Experience and knowledge of portal standards (i.e. JSR 168, JSR 286, WSRP, etc.) . Skills in image editing with Fireworks, Photoshop and other standard tools . Experience working with mid- to large size websites (1000+ pages/documents) . Experience in Project Management .
