Please send resumes to [email protected] Sr. Perl Developer /contract Location: Ann Arbor, MI Duration: 6 to 12 months Job Description: • Leads architectural design and development of entire subsystem-level tasks. • Technical expert for electronic content creation and delivery architecture and high-level design. • Writes, tests, debugs and implements application software, including performance and capacity analysis/tuning. • Leads project level architecture, design, development and testing efforts. • Brings technology to the business through research, conferences, etc. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the development of system requirements and high-level design. • Participate regularly in the inspection of requirements, design work and test plans. • Provide guidance for production activities and crisis management. • Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE/SKILLS Required: • 5+ years of architectural/high-level design experience with large-scale, complex n-tier scalable systems in a 24x7 production environment. • 5+ years experience in Perl (OO) and Java including multi-threaded applications • 3+ years experience working with eCommerce systems and web technologies like Javascript and HTML. • 3+ years experience working with relational databases like Sybase and Oracle, including PL/SQL , T-SQL and database design. • Effective execution working in a distributed team model, including successful consensus-building. • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills. • Capable of functioning independently and as part of a team.
