*Position :Agile Scrum Tester* *Location: Pleasanton, California* *Duration: 9-12 Months with Possible extension* *Rate Cap: $Open* * * Our client is currently hiring Scrum Testers to help in a migration to a portal based infrastructure and an agile based product development methodology. This position has testing responsibilities during the development of applications using the scrum methodology. As an integration tester, this position will be responsible for testing the interim software builds once they are completed by the scrum teams. You will be responsible for writing test cases, automating them with Selenium framework, running them, and reporting defects found. *Responsibilities* - Work with the Testing manager to thoroughly understand the application requirements and build test cases. - Work with the scrum team developers providing feedback on their work. - Participating in regular status meetings - Track defects in the appropriate tool (Rally and or Quality Center). - Maintain appropriate documentation. - Participate in release “go-live” activities, including release validation. *Skills & Experience* - 6+ years of software testing experience using best practices - 1+ years of experience using Scrum / Agile methodologies - Expertise with agile management tools like Rally (preferred), VersionOne and/or Xplanner etc. - Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks which are frequently delegated - Negotiation and conflict resolution skills - Good understanding of the software development life cycle - Problem solving skills - Bachelors degree or equivalent *Technologies* - Mercury Quality Center - Mercury Load Runner - Selenium / Selenium Grid - JUnit - JMeter, - ANT, - CVS / Subversion, Continuum, Maven - Websphere Portal *Performance Skills* - Tolerance of ambiguity - Must possess organizational proficiencies to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment under limited supervision. - Must be highly motivated, self-starting, and committed to achieving results and have a strong sense of ownership and follow-through to resolution.
