Roles: 2 SQL Server DBA contractor for a 6+ month assignment. This position is for a strong team player with excellent communication skills on a major project. It is NOT a dba/developer role, but a pure SQL Server DBA. Contract SQL Server DBA requirements. Following experience mandatory: • 7 + yrs Core SQL Server Production DBA • Windows 2008 multi-node clustering. • Monitoring and tuning SQL Server performance with multiple tools including Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler, and Index Tuning • Setting up cluster, replication, log shipping, DR testing and planning, capacity planning. • Security setup: database, active directory and windows level. • Performance Tuning, Query Optimization • Connectivity and Database Consistency Checks using DBCC Utilities. • Excellent analytical and debugging skills • Replication is key to this role.
