QA Engineer Duration: 4-6 Months Location: San Francisco, CA Start: ASAP - NEXT WEEK! Openings: 2 Locals Only!!! The QA Engineer will be involved throughout the entire product development cycle to ensure the timely release of highest quality products. In addition, the new hire will assist in different aspects of the software development process; work closely with QA team members, software developers and customer support staff. Typical Job Tasks 1. Apply different testing techniques for multi-layer applications. 2. Design, write, and execute API tests for the web-based and/or client-server applications. 3. Write and revise automated test scripts for Performance and Load tests. 4. Develop and maintain test documentation and test scripts. 5. Analyze results and provide meaningful reports to the project team. 6. Use queries to create test data and analyze the data flow 7. Work with developers, analytics, and Client Services staff to devise test plans and schedule. Candidate Requirements 1. Strong understanding of the software lifecycle and integration with QA test planning and execution. 2. Professional SQAE experiences in client/server environment. 3. Understanding of Web-based technology architecture and data structure. 4. Strong database skills (Oracle and SQL server). 5. Working knowledge of C# or Java. 6. Knowledge of the testing frameworks such as JUnit, NUnit and/or Cactus a plus. 7. Ability to use automation test tools a plus. 8. Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently 9. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. 10. Knowledge of finance concepts and practices a plus. 11. Bachelor's degree.
