The technical architect is not only responsible for directing technology and architecture, but is also a thought leader providing insight and guidance to the greater organization. A technical architect (contractor) will also need to do a complete knowledge transfer so that the teams performing fixes, maintenance and upgrades have a detailed understanding of the architecture and technical specifications.
