We can bill up to $60 hr for a great fit!* *Please send along qualified candiates!* *Android Developer* *Job Description* - You'll be working to create an Android application to interface to web-based applications and servers to provide seamless, elegant, and robust user experiences to users on their mobile devices. - If capable, help to develop scalable backend server pieces in PHP to interface to the mobile application. - Helping to define, prototype, and develop user experiences that delight the customer *Skill Set* - You will possess a solid understanding of Android, Java, OOP, relational databases, multi-threading, and design patterns. - Demonstrated experience with Android application development and the SDK - Experience with other mobile platforms or mobile-web development a plus - Objective-C and Cocoa development experience is a plus - Experience with client-server application development using RESTful web-services - Experience with C++ is nice to have - Prior experience with communication protocols, graphics, data security implications, and/or location-based services are a plus *Requirements* - A solid grounding in Computer Science fundamentals (based on a BS or MS in CS or related field) with strong OO design and systems architecture experience with a mobile device focus. - Thorough understanding of the resource constraints of mobile devices and the techniques to deal with them along with developing for multiple screen sizes. - Experience with Agile principles and practices such as TDD, Continuous Integration, daily Scrums, and sprint/release planning and execution. - Excellent communicator who is passionate about quality, supportability, extensibility, and simple design Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
