San Francisco, CA: SAP Basis Consultant Duration: 6 months Rate: 70/hr all inclusive 9+ years working BASIS administration experience. Must have working knowledge of database configuration, performance tuning, high availability and load balancing with SAP environment. Additional Skills:Required Skills o Strong SAP BW Basis with BIA and Portal experience o Working knowledge of Business Objects Enterprise and BO Explorer experience o Good Oracle database knowledge o Core Unix experience Key Success Characteristics o Excellent analytical and problem solving skills - ability to quickly assess and resolve SAP issues o Strong communication skills with focus on coordinating and updating stakeholders Position Description o Primary responsibility to carry out all Basis related tasks for project implementation. o Monitors infrastructure performance to detect errors; apply testing procedures/methodologies (e.g., diagnostic software) and provide recommendations for solution. o Knowledge on high availability and load balancing o Understand and implemented SSO solution on SAP systems o Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and resolves complex system issues o Manages installation and maintenance (support pack, hot pack, system refresh, system modification etc.), and other software components related to project activities. o Provide document required by operation staff for knowledge transition.
