Applications Development Consultant Duration- 6mo contract Minnetonka, MN Position Description: This position is responsible for conducting report development and deployment Engage in logical & physical design of database, table creation, script creation, views, procedures, packages and other database objects Employ the best database development knowledge to address performance, scalability and efficiency issues within a large data warehouse structure. Provide strong analytical and problem solving skills. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced changing environment. Ability to take high-level direction, multi-task and own assigned deliverables from beginning to end Deliver quality work on-schedule and on-budget to the customer Organized, self-motivated, excellent written and verbal communications skills at the business and technical level Strong work ethic, commitment and team work Experience and Qualifications: SQL Server 2005 or 2008 Analysis Services - SSAS (5 years minimum) SQL Server 2005 or 2008 Reporting Services - SSRS (5 years minimum) MDX (3 years minimum) Cube design / Multi Dimensional Modeling TSQL Performance tuning TSQL/MDX with data volumes exceeding 50 million rows Cube design using star,snowflake methodology Table modeling using a tool like ERWIN or Power designer Working with scheduling tools like Autosys or TWS Power shell or UNIX shell scripting Writing and tuning SQL queries and understanding of relational and dimensional database schemas. 8 years overall development experience required.
