*Application Systems Architect (contract position)*
Sapphire Technologies is requesting resumes for a contract position as a
Systems Architect for an upcoming project. This position requires skills to
assist in the design and development of the overall architecture of the
system as well as assisting with web page design, dashboard design and
overall web site flow. The position is based in Roanoke, Virginia. The
anticipated length of the service contract is one year.
*Education*: 4-yr College Degree or higher preferably in Information
Systems, Computer Science or related field.
*Experience required:*
? 10+ years in application architecture design
? 6+ years in web design

· Demonstrated skills in system architectures to incorporate:
o .NET environment
o Smartphone/Mobile Web Applications (MWA)
o GIS applications
o OBIEE reporting applications
o Application security
· Object Oriented Analysis and Design
· .NET (ASP.net, C#.net)
· Web Services (Creation and consumption of services)
· DB2 for LUW
· Microsoft SQL Server 2008
· Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services
· Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain composure under
pressure.
· Excellent communication skills; Team player
· Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills on
highly complex problems; technical agility

The successful candidate will become a member of the Development team within
the Information Technology Department. The candidate will be responsible
for:
? Assisting in the architecture design of the CTMS-NG application.
? Developing and maintaining application design specifications and
use cases.
? Design of interfaces to legacy systems
? Creation of operational support documentation, test scripts and
functional test plans.
? Working with Business Partners, other IT development teams, and
vendors to insure that a quality product is produced
