* * *Job Title:* *Quality Analyst* *Department:* IT *Company:* Corporate *Reports To:* QM Manager *Job Description Date:* February 2011 *Start Date:* March 15, 2011 *Duration:* 3 Month Contract * * * * *Job Purpose: *Two to three sentences describing the overall purpose of the job The successful candidate will work closely with Quality Management, IT and Business representatives to lead the test lifecycle for systems within Gaylord Entertainment. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to, estimation of test effort and understanding project requirements in order to create, maintain and organize test plans and test cases to produce quality products. *Job Responsibilities: *Maximum of ten responsibilities, in order of percentage of time spent on functions from longest to shortest; do not list anything that does not represent at least 10% of the job’s time. Please include supervisory responsibilities. 1. Works closely with Quality Manager, Project Managers, System Analysts and Business representatives to map business requirements to testing requirements and develops strategies for functionality and quality testing for multiple projects. 2. In collaboration with QM and PM’s for integration testing; develops QA test plans, test case preparation, and leads the execution of functional testing, system testing, regression testing and assists with UAT. 3. Have a clear understanding of Gaylord’s test methodologies and contribute to their improvement. 4. Reviews the results of unit testing conducted by the Development team. 5. Reviews and analyzes test results, documents defects and communicates them to the project team. 6. Works well independently or in a team environment. 7. Communicates test progress, test results and other relevant information to the project team as well as establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with management. 8. Performs other ad-hoc duties as required by the IT Leadership Team. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *Job Qualifications: *Describe the minimum qualifications needed to complete the job responsibilities. Education College degree in Information Systems or related discipline or equivalent experience. (Required) Experience 5-10 years experience as a Quality Analyst. (required) 2-4 years application testing. (required) 2-4 years of hands on data integration and/or system integration testing experience. (required) Experience with data warehouse methodology and data analysis. (a plus) Familiarity with work flow testing. (a plus) Experienced in developing medium complexity SQL queries using SQL Server or other RDBMS. (required) Strong experience in test case preparation, documentation, requirements traceability and test case execution. (required) Knowledge of MS Office Suite of products. (required) Possess strong analytical and investigative skills, highly organized, excellent interpersonal communication and technical writing translatable to non-technical users. (required) Ability to manage multiple work activities in parallel and meet deadlines. (required) Exposure to Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services tool. (a plus) Jira defect tracking experience. (a plus) Licenses/Certifications CSTE, CSQA, CMST or CSTP.
