LOCATION: NORTH HAVEN, CT Length: 12.31.2011 plus Rate: DOE/ hr c2c TWO OPENINGS *Job Description for the Project:* Responsible for programming on specific application subsets of the company's application portfolio, participating in all phases of the development and maintenance life cycle, typically for an assigned business unit or corporate department and utilizing various customer technology platforms. Candidate will join a software analysis team responsible for static source code analysis in Java, .NET, COBOL, and other languages. The candidate will work closely with development teams and managers and must be able to communicate and guide effectively. · Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements, leads requirements gathering meetings and reviews designs with the business. · Leads efforts with Web and marketing team to increase the presence of web products. · Owns the change request process and coordinates with other teams as necessary. · Develops and owns list of final enhancements. · Develops and defines application scope and objectives and supervises the preparation of technical and/or functional specifications from with programs will be written. · Performs technical design reviews and code reviews. · Ensures unit test is completed and meets the test plan requirements, system testing is completed and system is implemented according to plan. · Responsible for delivery of application technology solutions and data information planning effort. · Coordinates and manages on-call support and owns the system monitoring process. · Reviews and monitors initiatives for end to end impact and coordination. · Participates in review and decision making for enterprise solutions. · Assist in the implementation and rollout of a common process to enable software analysis of company systems in quality dimensions including security, performance, maintainability, and reliability. · Partner with development teams, application security, and other stakeholders to configure new applications on the Fortify, AppScan, and/or WebLayers platforms. · Validate and summarize scan output into actionable information the development teams can understand and use. · Assist development teams in interpreting the scan results and developing remediation plans. · Where appropriate, document and socialize common remediation solutions in a company SharePoint community of practice. *Required Skills for the Project:* · Incumbent should also have the ability to mentor others, lead multiple small projects and provide troubleshooting support. · *Microsoft .NET languages including C#, visual basic and asp.net and / or Java*. · Microsoft SharePoint (content authoring and editing). · Designing and developing web services, multithreaded server applications, and remoting applications. · OWASP and secure application validation. · Code review practices and deliverables. · Code Analysis (manual and leveraging automated scanning tools) using Fortify, WebLayers, OunceLabs, Web Inspect, or other similar tools. *Educational Qualifications/Experience:* · Requires an AA, BA/BS Degree or technical institute training. · 9 or more years experience on one or more platforms, multi database, multi language and expert level experience with business and technical applications or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. *Skills Set:* *General Business Skills.* Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
