Duration: 3-6+ months Interview Type: phone interview followed by F2F (They are okay with non-local candidates, and they will consider covering expenses if someone needs to travel home each week) Our client is looking for a MS Server Architect to help with a MS 2003 to 2008 Server migration. This person needs to show proven experience and understanding in the best use of technology infrastructure and be able to help the client identify a technology solution that best meets their application and infrastructure requirements. Technical Skills Proficient in infrastructure architecture of scalable, automated deployments. In-depth knowledge of Windows technologies, support and process lifecycles in enterprise systems, e.g. Active Directory, Citrix, Microsoft Office technologies, performance monitoring, debugging, registry, TCP/IP, 32 and 64 bit OSs etc. Excellent knowledge of server/workstation hardware processes/components. Experience with virtualization technologies. Understanding of SAN/NAS and associated Protocols. Good scripting skills and understanding of programming technologies, e.g. Batch, PERL, PowerShell, VBScript, VBA, .Net technologies, COM, SQL, ADSI, WMI, WinRM. Knowledge of IIS (6/7) and Web services an advantage. MCSE or equivalent with at least 5 years experience Broad knowledge of high-performance, highly-available computing environments and integration of technical products into complex environments. Financial Services/Enterprise experience is preferred. Must be a self-starter, a team player, and be able work in a fast paced, environment.
