CONTRACT POSITION - 6 MONTHS
Location: MINNEAPOLIS, MN Project Architect
Responsibilities:
Identifies key business and technology drivers that impact application
architectures, such as end-user community requirements, existing software
distribution capabilities, existing application
environment (including legacy and packaged systems), and performance and
availability requirements. 

Translates project requirements into detailed designs to be implemented
while balancing needs for
immediate action and the point of arrival (POA) vision. Designs
architectures which account for legacy and packaged systems. Designs
external system interface architecture, including appropriate
application of techniques and standards such as service-oriented
architecture, web services, etc.



Translates project requirements into detailed designs to be implemented
while balancing needs for immediate action and the POA vision. Ensures that
user requirements are sufficient to solution and
provides guidance to project teams regarding guiding principles, system and
application design, enterprise coding and design standards, best practices,
and system performance and availability.

requirements and potentially oversees test execution to validate coverage
and perform causal analysis.



Provides feedback to Technology Strategy & Architecture, Standard Owners,
and Standard Owner Delegates on experience in complying with technology
standards and design best practices. Specific 

Qualifications / Skills for Open Position #3 (Contractor): Web Participates
in solution design and assures quality, while minimizing negative impacts on
other applications and business processes. Develops effective working
relationships with vendors to produce high quality project deliverables.
Participates in the development of system requirements and help in the
development of technical estimates for the business. Work with Technical
leads to ensure appropriate regression and user acceptance testing is
completed prior to implementation of system changes. Mentors new or less
experienced Technology Analysts and also assists in their professional
development. Familiarity with distributed and Web systems preferred. College
Grad or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS, or related field Minimum 5
years of experience in an architect role. Proven experience in vendor
technical product implementation and custom application development through
vendor resources. Must have proven experience designing and developing large
web solutions in Java. Must have working knowledge of PHP, AJAX, REST, SOAP,
SQL, Linux, Windows, CVS, CMS, Portals, JavaScript, HTML/DOM. Must have
experience developing flexible portal/JSR portlets, SOA, and
Content-Management-based solutions. Must have experience configuring,
debugging, and deploying enterprise applications in complex environments
Must have demonstrated experience in designing and delivering scalable and
distributed web applications Must have strong business acumen and the
ability to identify key issues and the ability to identify key issues and
their impact in a broad business context. Candidate must be able to
translate technology into business terms and value, history of influencing
and improving business solutions. Strong preference for experience with
Liferay. Prefer UML modeling experience Prefer experience with any of the
following technologies or frameworks: WSRP, Drools, Hadoop/Map reduce,
Flex/Silverlight, Grails, JSP, ASP .NET Web Parts, Single Sign-On (SSO),
LDAP, Team Foundation Server, mobile, web analytics/Omniture, social
networking technologies, agile development methodologies, Unified Content
Management, Eclipse, Visual Studio. Must have six plus years of broad
programming experience Must have three plus years of design and architecture
experience, preferred within a large enterprise.

Require extensive experience with Microsoft Solutions and related
certifications desired Outlook/Exchange Server 2010 SharePoint Server 2010
Active Directory MS SQL Strong knowledge and experience in applying the
Microsoft Architecture Stacks, Patterns, and Frameworks, to solutions.
Experience programming and knowledge with C# and ASP.NET Experience with
Directory concepts Experience with content management using Sharepoint

Integration, Java, Reporting and Analytics, and Application Architecture.
