• Ensure production security controls are properly implemented and maintained within the network infrastructure. • Extensive knowledge and experience with Check Point Firewalls, Cisco ASA Firewalls, Cisco IPS Appliances, Juniper SRX Devices. • 4+ years of IT security experience. • Strong in-depth technical knowledge in security engineering, computer and network security, strong authentication and security protocols. • No direct management responsibilities; but highly accountable for the quality, effectiveness and timeliness of assigned projects. • Provide a process driven approach to ensure accuracy and consistency within firewall change requests. • Work directly with project leaders to identify innovative security solutions and actively apply these solutions to advance UnitedHealth Group's mission. • Integrate and optimize firewall and IPS management tools to support complex projects. • Design, implement, and maintain the security infrastructure. • Thorough knowledge of TCP/IP, routers, firewalls and security devices. • Implements and documents firewall rule modifications as required. • Experience within security policy creation and security audits. • Large enterprise network security planning project experience. • Cisco CCSP, Checkpoint CCSA/CCSE, CISA, CISSP or other security certifications are a plus, but not required. • Experience with an enterprise change control processes. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Consultative expertise.
