Job Description:
Technical Environment: Core Java, JSP,JSTL,XML,APi's and processing, Struts,
Grails, Spring Web FLow
Below is a list of criteria we are looking for in a Java Architect:
• Senior developer with at least 7 years of hard core Java.
o core webapp tech - Servlets, JSP, JSTL, XML api's and processing.
o deep with one or more webapp frameworks - Struts, Grails, Lift, Spring
Web Flow...
o core HTML tech - xhtml, css, javascript.
o one or more javascript/ajax libraries - jquery,
prototype/scriptaculous, yui, etc...
o prefer ORM experience, particularly JPA and Hibernate.
o prefer multithreaded experience.
o prefer strong Oracle sql experience
o prefer some experience with NoSQL, especially MongoDB
• Experience with distributed applications.
o Service Oriented development, particularly REST/XML-over-HTTP/JSON.
o prefer experience with additional apis/protocols - soap, JAX-RS, etc.
o prefer raw socket communication experience.
• Experience working in a very agile/iterative environment.
o you love using many open source libraries and tools
o prefer experience with Eclipse, SVN, Atlassian tools
o prefer experience in large project development: code branches, merging,
etc.
• Experience and comfortable working in a polyglot environment.
o more than one of; java, javascript, xml, ant, sql, unix shell, groovy,
scala, etc.
