*Shoreview, MN* *Duration: 4-6 mo with potential extension* *Title:** Shrvw - Packaging/Application Resource* The Infrastructure department is looking for someone to help them with their roll-out of Windows 7. They need someone who is good with packaging apps. The assignment length will be anywhere from 4 to 6 months. Possible extension. Required Technical Requirements – • Working knowledge of Adminstudio Enterprise Edition 9 and above (2+ years) • Working knowledge of Installshield 11 and above (2+ years) • Working knowledge of App-DNA’s Aptitude • Working knowledge of VBScript, WMI (3+ years) • Working knowledge of Hyper-V and Virtual Machines • Working knowledge of App-V (Client, Sequencing) (1+ years) • Working knowledge of SCCM Deployments • Knowledge of VMWare Workstation • Application Packaging for Windows XP, Windows 7 environment (5+ years) • Understanding of Windows Installer 3.1 and above The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience developing, implementing and managing each step in process required to deliver applications to the enterprise. This includes experience in: 1. Developing, implementing and managing a technology-enabled process to match end-users or job role computing requirements to the appropriate desktop presentation solution selected from a multi-tiered portfolio of desktop presentation solutions. 2. Implementing an application analysis platform for the discovery of compatibility issues and positioning applications to the correct desktop solution (virtualized or physical) within a multi-tiered desktop environment. 3. Efficiently packaging, configuring and distributing applications to multiple tiers of desktop presentation methods, both physical and virtual. 4. Utilizing application virtualization and streaming technology across a multi-tier desktop environment in lieu of application packaging whenever necessary or when efficiencies can be gained by doing so. 5. Automating distribution and management of packaged or virtualized applications to both physical and virtual desktop environments. 6. Collaborating with enterprise risk management, IT operations, and relevant stakeholders in designing enterprise desktop solutions such that the desired level of risk avoidance is achieved.
