Mainframe Developer – COBOL – 6 month+ contract - Buffalo, NY. Bachelor's degree. 10 yrs exp in systems analysis & app development. COBOL, JCL EZTRIEVE. Proficient in multiple programming languages. Thorough knowledge of app development support software/hardware platforms. Diverse technical background w/mainframe & distributed computing environments. Expert analysis/resolution of complex problems. Excellent understanding of vendor hardware configurations/software concepts. Ability to lead/participate in technical walkthroughs. Provide designs; specify information systems solutions w/ highest level of technical direction in development of new/existing programs to solve problems/enhancements. Act as principal application designer for critical components/major modifications, effectively using analytical skills/technical skills/available technology/tools in evaluating client requirements/processes. Provide sound technical solutions. Perform/oversee complex systems analysis/design/programming efforts.
