Job Description:
This position will be needed to provide research and assist
in the implementation of new network technology such as voice over IP,
Quality of Server (QOS), Video Conferencing, etc., and to provide
ongoing support of the DWD network infrastructure. There are a number
of network upgrade projects (new switch installs, router upgrades,
etc.). This position will enable BITS to support the expanding base
infrastructure which hosts critical applications for DWD including
systems for the Unemployment Insurance (UI) Division, Employment and
Training Division (DET), and Division of Vocational Rehabilitation
(DVR) Division.
Hardware/Software Environment:
Cisco Routers/Switches
Cisco Firewalls
Cisco VPN Devices
Network Design (10+ years)
Has extensive experience (10+ years) using Network Management and
Monitoring tools
such as Scrutinizer, Sniffer, Wire Shark, etc.
VMWare & Virtualization
Virtual Switches
Quality of Service (QOS)
Voice over IP
Video Conferencing
