Performs design, development, testing, documentation, and analysis of
software applications for Aol's new email host backend. Assignments include
development of new software programs, as well as enhancements,
modifications, and corrections to existing software.
Duties include designing applications, writing code, completing programming,
developing and executing testing and debugging routines, and documenting
work and results.
Responsibilities:
1. Gathering requirements from stakeholders
2. Mapping problem to a design that efficiently satisfies the requirement
3. Implementing, testing, and debugging solutions
Qualified candidates will have:
.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering,or equivalent
.Good interpersonal skills
. Extensive experience in all levels of the Software Engineering life cycle
.Extensive experience with OO analysis and design principles (knowledge of
UML is a plus)
.8+ years of software development experience working on large projects with
a team of developers
.4+ years of software development experience in Java (knowledge of Java 1.5
or later preferred)
.Experienced developing Apache/Tomcat/MySQLbased Web Services using Java and
frameworks.
.Experience interfacing with backend Web Services and databases, and
responding to queries in JSON, XML, or SOAP
.Knowledge of JSON, XML, and SOAP
.Experience with large scale systems integration
.Experience with writing JUnit test cases to automate uniting testing
.Experience with load testing and profiling to identify and correct memory
and/or CPU hogs
.Experience with Java threading on high volume and highly available systems
. Experience with the Spring Framework
. Experience with Maven
