*Position Details **(repeat this section for multiple positions)***

DMV .Net Application Architect (3 positions)

This person would be responsible for developing, maintaining and providing
governance of the application architecture for one of the large DMV
projects.  This person would also provide technical leadership for the
project, working closely with the project manager to guide the technical
resources to achieve the development and delivery of the technical
solution.





*Consultant Role/Responsibilities or Tasks on Project:*

   - Architect and customize reusable solutions for the project
   - Oversee the implementation and governance of project architectures
   through the code development and testing phases of the solution
   - Assess business impact of specific technologies/strategies
   - Identify and address technical or operational risks
   - Participate in reviews of project activities and application
   development project deliverables.
   - Collaborates with the project manager to develop detailed project plans
   and work breakdown structures for medium to large business unit level
   projects.





*Skills Required* (*provide specific details around tools, client
environment, certifications needed, etc):***

This person will have the following skills:

   - More than 10 years of experience in developing and designing Enterprise
   wide applications out of which 5+ years should be in technical leadership
   role. As a technical lead the candidate should have lead a team of not less
   than 10 developers.
   - The candidate should have hands-on experience in code development and
   should have worked in an end-to-end project SDLC; the candidate should also
   be aware of different Software Development methodologies and should have
   iterative development lifecycle experience.
   - Deep hands on knowledge of the Microsoft .Net platform including
   awareness of the currently evolving technologies and frameworks
   - Hands on experience of WCF, WF, WPF, Windows forms and VB.net based
   applications
   - Should have a strong conceptual understanding of distributed computing,
   n-Tier architectures and should be a mentor to others in these technologies

   - The candidate must have experience with Visual Studio (preferably 2008
   or 2010), Team Foundation Server (TFS) and the processes for software
   development.
   - Solid Object Oriented (OO) programming knowledge and experience
      - Experience with OO design and coding patterns
      - Experience with OO modeling tools such as Borland Together Architect
      or Rational Rose
      - Experience on various Data Access technologies - ORM and non ORM
      based
   - Solid knowledge of configuration management and change management
   practices
   - Strong problem solving skills
   - Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members,
   clients and other IT groups
   - The candidate should be well conversant with the different patterns
   used in the software architecture and their fitment and applicability in the
   overall solution architecture;
   - Domain modeling, Data modeling, Use Case Analysis capabilities;
   - Ability to understand the customer's business problem, need, or
   opportunity and to design an IS solution that appropriately addresses the
   business problem, need, or opportunity.
   - Ability to lead the architectural design, development, and deployment
   of quality technical solutions for medium to large business unit
   organizations
   - Ability to lead a team of two or more architects in the completion of
   architecture, requirements, operational, or implementation deliverables
   - Ability to apply program/project management methods and processes to
   define, plan, cost, resource, track and ensure the accomplishment of
   targeted goals for medium to large business unit level projects.
   - Good customer influence and negotiation skills.
   - Ability to tactically consider all sides of an issue within the
   contexts of time, breadth, and range of options.
   - Ability to systematically gather, assess and apply organizational,
   technical, operational, and sales/marketing information for business
   decisions.
   - Ability to prepare clear, concise, and persuasive communications for
   multiple audiences, including demonstrating effective writing and
   presentation skills, listening actively, and projecting a trustable image.
   - Ability to articulate technical or operational problems or issues into
   understandable business terms.
   - Excellent speaking and writing skills.
