Middleware Engineer Location: Remote (Candidate has the option to work from home and need not be on-site) Duration: 6+ Months Description: Description of Position: A Web Hosting Middleware Engineer is responsible for automating, testing, and maintaining the installation & build process for Tivoli Access Manager, WebSphere AS, and IHS components of the Web Environment for a commercial Account. Activities include but are not limited to: * Installation, configuration and support of the following products * Tivoli Access Manager WebSeals and LDAP * WebSphere Application Server * IBM HTTP Server (IHS) * Create TAM automation for implementation and support * Engineer and support automation of deployments, configuration changes, etc. * Provide 24/7 support for middleware products on a rotating basis * Create and manage problem tickets with vendors of supported products * Create and implement change tickets for middleware products * Provide health and welfare services for middleware products * Document and train Web Hosting teams on supported products * Document and train Web Hosting teams on deployment scripts, when applicable Skills Required: * Excellent understanding of WebSphere Application Server 5.x, 6.x * Excellent understanding of IBM HTTP Server * TAM 6.x certification required * Excellent understanding of Tivoli Access Manager (preferably on AIX) with a minimum of 3 years experience § Prior experience migrating Tivoli Access Manager from Version 5.1 to 6.x § Strong working knowledge on WebSeal junctions § Strong knowledge of single sign-on authentication (J2EE 1.4 and up) § Proficiency with technologies used to programmatically access LDAP directories § Knowledge of the WebSeal External Authentication Interface (EAI) § Excellent knowledge of LDAP Data Interchange Format (LDIF), Perl, Ksh and JavaScript * Strong knowledge of J2EE applications and the J2EE specification as it relates to infrastructure and deployments of applications. * Strong knowledge of Unix (AIX 5.3), with a minimum 3 years of internet based experience * Excellent Oral and Written communication skills * Ability to determine true RCA and recommend permanent solutions * Strong analytical skills * Strong Server and network trouble shooting skills Thanks & Regards Raj Lead Recruiter cid:[email protected] Techgene Solutions LLC (A Minority Certified Company) Desk : 972-580-0247 Ext: 224 Direct : 214-257-7692 Fax : 972-692-5824 Mail : <mailto:[email protected]> [email protected] URL : <http://www.techgene.com/> www.techgene.com CONFIDENTIALITY: This email (including any attachments) may contain confidential, proprietary and privileged information, and unauthorized disclosure or use is prohibited.
