This Req will serve as a general submittal for the needs at Deluxe (not by project as we have done previously). Our rate has been adjusted due to our market analysis of QA jobs in the twin cities. Contract length may vary per project but will be around 4-6 months, up to a year. We are very interested in seeing those open to being hired.* Key skills: 1) Strong experience leading teams – and working with offshore resources. Driving the team is key. 2) Strong hands on experience with manual testing, and some automated (75%) 1. Owns quality of projects. Responsible for the coordination and completion of project testing activities for all sizes of projects. Partners with project stakeholders to ensure effective planning and requirements definition. Analyzes requirements, deliverables, results, etc. Leads and directs the work of others. Reviews and approves deliverables and work products. Coordinates project activities with both onshore and offshore resources. Reviews, monitors and summarizes progress of project testing activities. Develops test strategies, approaches or plans. Active participant in all phases of the project lifecycle. (10%) 2. Mentors other team members; educate organization on QA/QC practices (10%) 3. Contribute to, suggest and implement process improvements that will accomplish team, department and business goals. Striving for efficiency, consistency and effectiveness. (5%) 4. Manual and/or automated test execution Qualifications, Experience & Skills: * Years of Experience: 5-7 * Education: BA/BS (preferred) * Leadership/Accountability: Demonstrated ability to accept ownership and to take initiative. Develops solutions and ideas that add value. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and activities. Does not blame or pass problems off onto others but takes the initiative to get the right people involved and to resolve matters quickly and effectively. This includes but not limited to knowledge and understanding of multiple technologies, platforms, test types or practices, and methodologies. Experience with test and defect management processes and tools. Demonstrated ability to proactively foresee, break down, analyze and resolve complex technical and/or functional problems. * Negotiation/influence: Demonstrated ability to successfully work with and achieve consensus amongst disparate groups with competing agendas. Effectively and assertively presents one's point of view without alienating others. Is able to negotiate effectively. This includes skillfully and appropriately managing expectations and negotiating deliverables with customers demonstrating flexibility and political astuteness. * Industry Knowledge: Experience in industry standard project mgmt, QA and quality control practices. Familiar with a variety of testing, software development and project management concepts, practices and procedures. * Project Mgmt: Experience in effectively leading and managing testing activities on multiple simultaneous cross-functional and cross-organizational projects. Demonstrated ability to establish and review/evaluate project and testing plans. Resourceful, detail orientated, methodical, demonstrates time management skills. *Position 2:*** Knowledge of web based/window based order entry channels Experience with Common Manufacturing Process. Experience with shipping Interface. Knowledge of Pick to light system. Familiarity with how to gauge checks and ensure that all printed elements are falling into the proper placement. Familiarity to verifying codeline accuracy of printed checks.
