Good afternoon, We have an opening with one of our clients in Downtown Atlanta, GA for a SQL DBA with at least 5 years of experience. This will be a 6 month rolling contract with a pay rate $40/hr. I have listed the job description below. Please send any consultants that fit the descriptions. *Senior SQL Server Database Administrator – Contract ** * *Description:* · Perform general database administration tasks on Microsoft SQL Servers · Ensures backups and maintenance occur regularly and reliably · Troubleshoots issues on Microsoft SQL Server Systems · Promotes DDL changes to QA and production · Installs and configures SQL Server Instances · Rotates on-call duties with other DBAs · Provides disaster recovery support within existing infrastructure · Oversees SQL Server security · Reviews and analyzes monitoring data to proactively prevent problems *Required:* · At least five (5) years experience in MS SQL Server · Strong T-SQL Skills · Experience with SSDS, SSAS, SSRS and SSIS · Demonstrated competence in replication and clustering · Familiarity with standard change control procedures · Clear understanding of database design, referential integrity, and application-development life cycle · Experience in supporting mission-critical database systems · Strong communication abilities · Good interpersonal skills that foster coordination and collaboration across teams *Preferred:* · MCP and MCSE: Database Certification · Some experience with other relational databases (Sybase, DB2 LUW, DB2 z/OS, IDMS, ADABAS, Oracle, or MySQL) · Some application development experience (especially, VB.NET or C#) · Some experience supporting databases on Storage Area Networks Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
