This position may be based anywhere in the US but can expected significant periods of travel. The Security Engineer will be involved with delivering IT Architecture and Design, Secure Networking Implementations and Standard development; providing operational support and consulting services to business units. Primary role will be to identify audit concerns, architecture statements and convert them into actionable items to be closed or fixed across a complex network and system, environment. * * *Must Have Skills: * The requirements for this position are a Bachelor''s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related field plus typically 6 – 10 years in the Information Technology industry with strong technical and operational IT Security Engineering experience in areas such as Firewall/Proxy Architecture; TCP/IP Portocols and Network Protocol Encapsulation / Translation, Security Encryption Architecture Technologies, Remote (VPN) Access Solutions; Intrusion Preventation and Detection Systems, Web Content Filtering, Security Event Incident Management (SEIM), Authentication/Access Controls Systems, Federated Identity Management (IDM) System Design. The persons must be able to run perform remediation activities based on identifed weaknes and run tools, analyze firewall rules and IDS/IPS logs, syslogs and interpet network protocols to ensure closure of those exposures. Act as an independent member of security review team and be able to document work in a professional manner. * * *Candidate must have some of the following technical and network based skills for the following:* Unix, Windows, TCP, UDP, IP, HTTP/s, SMTP, FTP, DNS/DHCP, NetBIOS, Microsoft, Secure Shell, Java, SSL, PKI, IPSec, TCPDump * * *Compliance: PCI-DSS, * * * *Certification: *CISSP, CISM, and/or Security+ certifications a plus.* * * * *Desired Skills: * Generally required are advanced analytical skills, detail orientation and accuracy with good organizational skills.
