San Antonio, Texas (Need Local Candidates) 6+ months contract Job Description: Our client is seeking for SAN Storage Administrator. i. Perform daily management of the backup environment to ensure backups are accurate and complete within the backup window. ii. Perform advanced troubleshooting of reported problems with SAN connected systems. iii. Be responsible for the overall health and maintenance of the storage and backup environments. iv. Work closely with the Service Desk to ensure backups are running smoothly. v. Address and troubleshoot backup/ storage issues as they arise. vi. Resource Requirements: Supplier shall provide one dedicated Supplier Personnel with a strong background, experience and proficiency in managing, maintaining and supporting Storage/Backup Environments including: o Experience performing SAN and backup administration for a network of multiple platform systems with an emphasis on EMC Avamar, HP Storage and Tivoli o Possessing a thorough knowledge of EMC storage arrays, with strong experience on DMX, VMAX, Celerra and Centerra o Working knowledge of Windows, Unix & Linux operating systems as it relates to mounting and managing LUN's, HBA configuration and backup agents o Possessing a thorough knowledge of EMC Avamar or Networker backup environments o Possessing a thorough knowledge of IT change management and project management processes o Possessing a thorough knowledge of current IT technologies for SAN environments o Possessing troubleshooting skills necessary to investigate root causes of abstract problems and implement solutions o Strong experience with HP storage hardware.
