We develop a vast array of technologies used in the pursuit and resolution of litigation. This software includes both internally and externally facing applications that require 24/7 support. Under the general supervision of the Director of Engineering, Software Engineer will be responsible for the following day activities:
Support bug fixes and implement enhancements to applications in Production. Meet SLAs for addressing issue found in production. Participate in the critical analysis of requirements and feature design. Actively participate in product development including documentation, code development, and unit testing of releases. Work with the SQA team on defect resolution. Ability to reverse engineer complex data formats with moderate guidance. Experience with team development using source management tools such as SVN or similar and problem tracking tools. Ability to work in a team or with multiple organizational departments in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment, with a preference is given to candidates with experience in start-up or emerging companies. *Ability to work with multiple methodologies (Agile preferred).* Adherence to RDC Engineering processes and workflows. Able to fulfill responsibilities with some guidance and direction from superiors. Working knowledge of industry standards, engineering best practices and RDC business needs. Strength of technical and analytical skills allows efficient performance of tasks. *Requirements:** * * * *4-7 years experience developing software products on either Windows or Linux platforms (Windows preferred).* *1-2 years of Java/J2EE application development.* A solid working knowledge of the C, C++, *Java*, *Ruby*, *Ruby on Rails*, * PLSQL*, SVN, CVS, Oracle, Microsoft Visual Studio, Eclipse IDE, JBOSS, Hibernate and the ANT make environment.
