*Job Description:*
Looking for a Senior Oracle DBA/developer to join the Development
Application DBA team to support multiple projects in a fast-paced
environment. With deep and thorough knowledge of Oracle Database,
architecture and software development methodologies and practices, this
position is responsible to participate in day to day life cycle support to
design and develop dba components in support of various applications. DBA
will be reporting into a Team Lead to provide updates and interfacing with
clients to support the application needs. Excellent communication skills,
organization skills, critical thinking skills are a must.
*Qualifications:*
1. *This posting is for a senior position with 5-7 years of development
DBA experience.*
*2. Experience with Oracle 11g databases and feature set.*
3. *Knowledge and Experience in Logical and Physical Data Modeling.
Develop the Logical and Physical Data Models by working with the application
and business teams. *
*4. Strong Knowledge of Oracle Architecture and database design *
5. Oracle Design tools such as ER Studio, Erwin
6. Strong Database Performance Tuning Skills.
7. Strong Database Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution skills.
Understanding of object oriented design
8*. **Experience with Oracle Replication, Data guard setup*
9. Good knowledge of Unix Shell Scripting.
1 Must Possess Strong SQL and PL/SQL Development skills.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
*Daily Tasks: *
1. * Support a critical and accelerated project in the DBA space. *
2. Create schemas or initiate database object changes in consultation
with application project teams necessary to implement database design.
3. * Participate in database design / PL/SQL code reviews for projects
and enhancements.*
*4. Resolve SQL performance and data issues as necessary. *
5. Prepare development databases for project implementation.
6. Follow existing processes and procedures.
7. Duties also include SQL Tuning, troubleshooting, resolving errors
and failures, documentation, knowledge sharing
8. Develop and modify existing UNIX shell scripts (Korn shell)
