*Location:* *Hawaii & Remote* *Start Date:* *ASAP* *End Date:* *7/13/2011* *Rate:* *$55/hour* *Role:* *Oracle Database Administrator* *Description:* Senior data modeler's responsibilities include the design and construction of the logical data models and meta data (entity and attribute descriptions). This responsibility includes the identification of data most valuable for consumption, the integration of this data, and the development of correlating logical data models. The resulting logical data model will be used in the Data Warehouse as a base layer. The modeler must understand and have practical experience with 3NF and Dimensional data modeling and fully understand third normal form modeling. * The modeler collaborates with various members of the project team to include Solutions Architect, business/Business Analysts and technical staff to understand the data requirements and data changes associated to the project. While working on projects the modeler will be proactive and solicit, understand and communicate views on information issues related to data and raise issues with team members in a constructive manner. The modeler will work closely with the Database Architect and the DBA*s on the project team. * The data modeler will use a modeling tool Erwin for the construction of the logical data model and meta data and must be proficient in this tool. * The data modeler will provide access to the meta data and data management architecture and respond to any ad hoc requests for such data. The data modeler will provide requesting groups with information relating to data models and conduct meetings to promote communication among different project interdepencies relating to data model management * The data modeler must have excellent communication skills to work with the business/technical end users and business analysts as well as excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written. * The data modeler will have strong analytical and problem solving abilities. * Must have knowledge of HP Global Methodology for Business Intelligence. * Life Sciences experience is preferred but not required. *Requirements:* Strong technical understanding of Oracle database (9i/10g,11g) internals, including RAC, Streams, Data Guard, RMAN, CRS, and Grid. - Broad knowledge in various database backup and recovery methodology's, software and technologies. - Strong skills/ understanding of database performance monitoring tools and recovery procedures. - Strong analytical skills in fault detection and resolution. - Strong skills in DBMS maintenance tools. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Understanding of SAN technology and its integration with Oracle databases. -- Regards, Shankar 248-522-6879 Technology consultanst inc -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP ABAP" group.
