Position: Senior Software Engineer - .NET/C#, C++, and Java
Location: CA
Rate: Market Rate
Duration: 6 Months +
Creative lead developer with strong interpersonal skills and the
programming experience to be a member of a dynamic software team building
the next generation of Life Science applications. Members of this team will
design, implement, and test state-of-the-art scientific applications using
.NET/C#, C++, Qt, and Java.
*Qualifications*
- 10+ years programming experience in the industry
- Experience working in a team-based, full lifecycle software development
environment
- Experience with agile software development methodologies (Scrum / XP)
- 5+ years C++ experience, Qt experience highly desired.
- 3+ years .NET/C# experience
- Hands-on experience developing multi-tiered instrument control and
data aggregation / analysis
applications`
- Experience with RDBMS systems – preferably mySQL or Oracle.
- Working knowledge of SQL, JDBC, and /or ODBC.
- Experience with web and application servers.
- Platform experience with Windows and Mac
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work across teams and excellent communication skills, both
written and verbal.
- Strong ability to present software concepts to non-technical audience.
- Object oriented design methodology, experience applying Object Oriented
Design Patterns
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work under
pressure and on multiple projects with stringent deadlines.
- Additional experience with algorithm development and implementation,
image processing, biological data types, bioinformatics applications and
technical team leadership highly desirable.
