TFS Administrator / Release Manager Description Prudent is currently looking for a Release Engineer located in our Austin, Tx Description: As a Release Engineer, you will be responsible for developing systems tools and improving processes as part of a dedicated team of Build, Release, and Systems Engineers. This is a true “DevOps” position within the Operations department, interfacing directly with Development and Operations teams to improve the change management processes for code and systems configuration through process automation. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Design, develop, document, maintain, and execute change automation tooling for our websites and internal supporting infrastructure Assist Development teams with preparing new code, data, and infrastructure for deployment Assist Operations teams with systems change automation and facilitate communications about upcoming changes Assist Release Manager with preparing release schedules Skills and experience you should bring to the table: *Must be proficient in one or more scripting languages: C#, .NET, Ruby, PowerShell, batch Must have Admin level experience with Linux, Windows, is a plus Install scripting experience is desired Must be willing to learn, a self-starter, and be able to perform in a quickly changing environment Working knowledge of configuration management frameworks (TFS, SVN, Perforce, Git) highly desired Build Engineering or Development experience with C# using NAnt and CI tooling (i.e. CruiseControl.NET) is desired Some TFS build concepts and SCM administration is a plus Experience using virtualized infrastructure, load balancers, or CDN technologies is a plus CS Degree or equivalent experience required Build / Process Automation Technologies: Automation: CruiseControl.NET, NAant, PowerShell, psake Database: Tarantino, RedGate Schema Compare/Data Compare Nice to have: Familiarity with TFS, SVN, GIT, Mercurial, Perforce Programming required: C#/.NET, SQL, batch Programming optional: C, C++, Rake/Ruby, perl* -- Regards, -------------------- Prasad PRUDENT Technologies and Consulting, Inc.
