POSITION : SQL SERVER DBA LOCATION: Alexandria, VA LENGTH: 5 months RATE: 45/HR Primary requirements for the position include: • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Computer Sciences or a related field • Experience *conducting SQL Server Database Administration on large sized databases in a production environment* in the recent three consecutive years with at least 1 year in *SQL Server 2008*. Previous experience should include backup, restores and database security. • Experience with installing and configuring SQL Server on Microsoft Windows Server • Experience in maintaining SQL Server databases in a transactional environment • Experience with performance troubleshooting with SQL queries • Experience with Dynamic Management Views in SQL Server 2005 • Knowledge of DBA best practices across the industry • Experience troubleshooting database security issues • Effective oral, written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills The following secondary skills would be helpful but are not required: • Experience using third party Database Administration and Auditing tools for SQL Server Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
