LOCATION: Richmond, VA LENGTH: 1 YEAR – 2 POSITIONS RATE: DOE/HR *Required Experience --------------------------------- -- 5 Years Functional Testing experience -- Significant experience testing J2EE web applications -- Significant experience testing ORACLE databases -- Experience with MQ Series and SOA applications -- Experience System Integration Testing* Responsible for providing leadership in the design/development of product testing/quality processes and in developing testing architecture equal to that of commercial quality software. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Coordinates and identifies test cases to automate. Mentors staff in testing and product quality processes. Maintains current reference architecture and defines, monitors and collects testing/product quality data. Identifies quality needs of functional feature, performance and service requirements/components. Defines appropriate testing methods to employ to assure developed product conforms to requirements and design. Reviews defects in assessing product quality. Reviews an application for testing needs and requirements/design quality. Consults to projects and application support groups regarding quality and testing and may participate in the transition of software and systems into production. Plans/ prepares and executes test assets and executes linkage from test plan to test scenarios and cases. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE BA/BS in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Requires an understanding or organizational impacts and trade-offs of quality processes. 5 years of testing/product quality experience and a quality certification within one year of job placement and prior to moving to the next job level.
