*Training Coordinator Job Description:***



Training coordinator will be monitoring, evaluating and recording training
activities and determining any program's effectiveness. TC will offer
specific training to employees to help them improve, maintain or learn new
skills and  also be responsible for assessing the training needs of state
agency users and will organize, develop or obtain new training programs if
the existing ones do not meet standards. TC will present information using
different techniques such as lecture, group discussions, role playing or
videos and evaluate any training material that is used by state agency and
monitor training costs to make sure you stay within budget.



* Key Job Responsibilities:***

ü    Understand agency’s training policies, practices and activities and
Knowledge of all online training courses.

ü    Identify training needs and align training with the state agency
strategy.

ü    Continually follows up with associates, supervisors and workers to
ensure the effectiveness of training programs. Makes modifications to align
retraining with developing needs.

ü      Participate in training activities to increase personal skill levels,
to improve overall agency operations and customer service.



*Key characteristics & Qualifications:*

ü      Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly learn new
business and technical processes

ü      Ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively with the
business and IT community

ü      Presentation skills both in delivering presentations and in creating
presentations using Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel, Lectora, etc

ü      Knowledge of adult learning principles and various training methods

ü      Ability to facilitate a group to come to a consensus.

ü      Knowledge of enterprise readiness and change management principles

ü      Ability to build and maintain strong and cooperative team
cohesiveness between contractors and SRS staff

ü      Strong organizational skills

ü      Strong background with experience and skill in training development,
implementation and tracking of staff training.

ü      Knowledge in human services programs (TANF, Medicaid, etc)

ü      Presentation skills both in delivering presentations and in creating
presentations using Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel, etc.

ü      Experience in using SharePoint, IBM Clear Quest, Rational Requisite
Pro & SAS and/or other reporting tools.



Preferred Qualifications:

F      Legacy (IBM Mainframe: MVS, ADABAS, NATURAL, VSAM, CICS, DB2, CA:GEN
etc.) System knowledge.

F      State social services system application knowledge..

F     Local candidates (in and around Topeka, KS)
