Location: NYC, NY Senior QA Analyst (9 - 11 years) Job Description: As the Sr. QA Analyst, you will be reporting to the Global QA Manager, accountable for leading the Quality testing practices to support the key Risk Technology Projects. In this role, you will plan, design and execute the testing strategies and practices to meet the functional testing requirements for the applications with the critical Risk Technology projects. You will actively work with the Risk BA's and SME's to thoroughly understand the Business requirements and develop test scenarios. You will manage of Onshore and offshore QA resources across projects. Job Description: * 8 Years minimum in a Senior QA Analyst/Lead capacity working on Large Projects for investment banking; preferably a global firm. Risk Business experience * Strong exposure to Risk Business and fundamentals on Market Risk, Credit Risk and Operating Risk domains. * Strong experience in data intensive testing specially in Reference Data, Financial Instruments Data, Risk Analytics Data (Sensitivities, Time Series Data, Historic Market Data etc) * Four or more years' experience managing or leading a QA team of 5-10 or more. * Experience managing multiple concurrent QA programs with onshore/offshore resources * Knowledge of Core investment banking businesses (Equities, Derivatives, Fixed Income, Credit, Commodities, FX etc.,) * High Proficiency in Manual Functional Testing and Non-functional testing (includes Performance, Reliability, Operability, Recovery, DR, etc) * Working knowledge of Test Automation tools * Strong Expertise in test planning, test cases development, issue tracking, metrics and reporting. * This will be a 70% hands-on testing role with 30% focus on QA Management tasks Duties and Responsibilities: * Establish and Implement a structured QA Testing Roadmap for large Risk Technology Data Projects * Create Test Strategy and Test Plans with deliverables and milestones * Create and maintain a test bed for each of the projects supported, this includes creating test cases for new functionality and adding it to the test bed which will be managed through Mercury Quality Center tool and executed for regression test purposes. * Validate Test Environment Readiness for functional/non-functional test needs * Responsible for Manual and Automated Test Execution, Results Analysis and Risk Escalation * Responsible for Metrics Reporting to Management and Results Signoff Technical Skills / Tools: * 8+ years strong SQL skills with experience in testing large data management / data warehousing projects * 5+ years experience in HP/ Mercury Quality Center Automation Tools * Hands on experience in Test Automation Tools (QuickTestPro, WinRunner, LoadRunner) with good knowledge of Automation Testing Frameworks * Good experience in working in a C#, .Net, Java, VBA environment, * Hands on experience in VB Scripting Skills * Exposure to ETL Environments, Experience in Data validation and Data Quality testing using ETL tools is preferred. * Should have knowledge of handling several feed files / setup data comparison processes / Excel macros / schedulers while doing data intensive testing.
