The candidate will be responsible for working with a team of IT
professionals to design, develop and schedule the test environment for the
new PeopleSoft General Ledger, the Finance Data Store, and business
intelligence solutions.  The build release manager organizes, directs, and
manages activities for building and maintaining software releases for their
promotion to the production environment through the SDLC processes. The
release manager provides technical support to software developers and
business <http://www.ehow.com/business/> unit personnel in executing and
managing test processes and establishing the environments used to conduct
testing of the final deliverables. The release manager directs activities to
ensure the software products meet quality standards and performance
objectives within defined time and budget targets. This position provides a
unique opportunity to develop advanced skills in the support of a complex
test environment.

*Detailed Description*

   - Define and document the processes and procedures to support the change
   management of the People Soft, business intelligence, and data store test
   environments.
   - Coordinate the test event requirements and schedules with the Quality
   Assurance manager and test team.
   - Responsible for the definition and coordination of the test environment
   changes including technology component versions, configuration assumptions,
   data sets, and security profiles to ensure adequate testing and data
   validation.
   - Establish processes to support master data management and data
   governance.
   - Work with the application solution architect to define, develop, and
   implement processes to support this environment throughout the project and
   in production.

*Job Requirements*

   - Bachelor degree in with course work in
computer<http://www.ehow.com/computers/>science, information systems
and business management or equivalent work
   experience.
   - Minimum 5 years experience with the technologies in the architecture
   including PeopleSoft GL, Informatica PowerCenter, Autosys, relational
   databases and Business Objects.
   - Proven skills in the development and support of testing and quality
   assurance environments
   - Strong knowledge of testing processes and quality
assurance<http://www.ehow.com/about_6533493_release-manager-job-description.html##>as
well as defect tracking tools such as HP Quality Center
   - Experience with version control tools such as Endeavor, PVCS, CVS,
   ClearCase or Visual SourceSafe, procedures, and strong process knowledge of
   System Development Life Cycles.
   - Strong technical knowledge of client server and multi-tier hardware
   platform architectures.
   - Experience with program languages and program scripts such as SQL,
   PL/SQL, C++, and Perl.
   - Strong program and project management skills
   - Excellent presentation and communication skills.

*Preferred Skills*

   - Working experience with Oracle Database, SQL and PL/SQL is preferred
   - Experience with meta data and master data management practices
   - Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
   - Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to
   exercise mature judgment
   - Strong team player with ability to work effectively in a multi-location
   team environment.
   - Focus on quality work product with willingness to closely follow policy
   and procedures.
