HP is delivering a new Unemployment Insurance System. In the process of
delivery, the customer has changed their platform from DB2 to SQL Server.
The application has already been migrated from DB2 to SQL Server; however
the production infrastructure design needs to be updated to align with the
new database platform.

*Infrastructure Architect*

We need an Infrastructure Architect with a strong MS SQL Server background
to design the production environment (server, storage, high-availability,
backup/recovery, toolset, and operational procedures) and lead a
proof-of-concept implementation in a lab setting. The PoC will include
limited synthetic load testing to validate solutions and provide projections
of the performance capabilities of the production systems when they are
deployed. Candidate should be experienced with IBM/HP x86 server offerings,
IBM/HP enterprise storage offerings and flash based storage. Previous
experience with synthetic benchmarking would be beneficial.

This person will have the following skills:

   - Enterprise storage solutions
   - IBM/HP x86 server lines
   - Experience running synthetic stress tests to identify bottlenecks in a
   given topology.
   - Enterprise operations including high availability/backup/recovery
   - Strong documentation skills to produce deliverables covering the
results of the POC as well as the production bill-of-materials
   - Independent personality that can gather requirements, organize
cross-team participants for the POC, and produce a solution that meet the
contractual commitments – all while adhering to a timely schedule.
   - Work to be performed collaboratively onsite.
