Title: MS Exchange SME # of Openings: 2 Position Type: Contract Location: Chicago, IL (Need Locals) Duration: Long term Responsibilities Maintain and troubleshoot Exchange 2007 and 2010 on Windows Server 2008 in a large environment. Work to diagnose and fix emergency and chronic issues related to reliability, security, performance, accessibility, and general functionality. Maintain and troubleshoot Active Directory in 2003 and 2008 mode. A strong set of communication skills to listen, diagnose, and troubleshoot issues. Communicate with end-user and management. Report on and document the technology. Qualifications: . Microsoft Certified in Server 2008 . Microsoft Certified in Exchange 2007 or 2010 . Ability to work in a team environment with other support professionals. . Ability to share knowledge and information with clients and fellow IT professionals. . Excellent written documentation skills. . Strong base understanding of all network protocols, SMTP, DNS, DHCP, and related TCP/IP specifics. . Strong understanding of the Exchange PowerShell, Exchange Roles, and their responsibilities Skills . Microsoft Windows server configuration including registry edits and operating system tweaks. Configure local and SAN storage on servers. . Manage clustering, including application level clustering as with Exchange 2010. . Candidate must be able to monitor and report on performance. Candidate must have understanding of server resources and optimization. . Configure and integrate Microsoft Office (XP, 2003, 2007, 2010) on Windows XP and Windows 7 desktop computers. . Support and administer all methods of communication with Exchange: OWA, ActiveSync, Outlook, Blackberry and others. . Create up-to-date documentation of the environment as it grows. . Manage user accounts and mailboxes, including Organizational Units and Group Policy. Manage computer accounts. . Understand Active Directory best practices, management of Active Directory objects and modification of attributes. . Configure, manage and support SMTP infrastructure including mail security gateway. Understand associated DNS records, such as MX, A and SRV. . Understand and troubleshoot TCP/IP issues, firewall issues, proxy issues and related testing methods.
