Experience with software development concepts and ability to read / interpret code (e.g., COBOL, PowerBuilder, Java, etc.) for purposes of Quality Assurance / Code Reviews Desired Skills: Hands on programming experience in COBOL, PowerBuilder, Java or any other programming language for purposes of quality assurance / code reviews. This position is not a developer position, but practical experience in this area is preferred and at times may be required to assist developers. Daily Work Description Immediate opening for an experienced Programmer / Analyst on a long-term project in Southern California. This individual would be responsible for support, review, analysis, coordination, and resolution of both internal (developer) and external (customer) requests or reported issues. Will be responsible for managing requests and/or issues through the defined process, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution. Will work with both IT and business units, and act as a liaison, to make sure follow-up is completed or complete the work yourself (e.g., running batch jobs, transferring files, performing assessments, etc.). This person will participate and lead code review sessions, collaborate with various user groups, analyze and communicate business impacts, review incident management process, ensure appropriate level of support was engaged, ensure timely notification, and ensure follow up activities are performed.
