*Position:* *QA Tester* *Location:* *Woodbury, NY* *Duration*: 6 months *QA Tester - Serena Products** **(Located in Woodbury, NY) -Must be local for a face to face interview after a phone interview.* QA Test Analyst for a long-term consulting engagement. This candidate must be able evaluate next generation features being tested prior to deployment for our client's customer-facing production systems. In addition to manual testing, this individual must also have experience with utilizing automated testing tools. *Responsibilities:* . Execute and maintain test operating methodology / processes related to testing of all software targeted to production associated with the client's systems, ie: test strategies / plans, test cases, lab test guidelines, automated test tool utilization and test-related metrics . Participate with other testers, developers and users in the development of comprehensive test strategies, plans and scripts . Perform all test-related activities in support of demanding and aggressive project schedules . Maintain expertise in latest state-of-the-art testing methodologies and automated tool suites . Accurate preparation and documentation of test results, issues / defects and progress . Assist test staff as required with system checks, special test assignments and adherence to configuration / system set-ups for test conditions *Required Skills:* . 3*+ years of hands on experience in a Q/A Lab environment* applying test experience to projects of various size and complexity . Experience supporting QA test efforts including the analysis of business/technical/functional requirements, development of test strategies and test plans, coordinating defect management, and QA reporting . Experience with HP Quality Center . Familiarity with Serena Business Mash-ups is preferred . Familiarity with IBM Rational Rose . Familiarity with Remedy . Familiarity with testing Mobile devices .
