*Details of the Position:*

The IBM Websphere MQ Series & Message Broker Administrator role is a mission
critical role to support the DOE’s Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
initiative in pursuit of business systems integration across heterogeneous
systems already deployed at the DOE.  The person fulfilling this role will
manage the implementation of Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) components & the
deployment, configuration, & administration of related technologies.  As the
ESB adoption rate grows, the person in this position plays a critical role
in gathering & analyzing requirements to ensure that the ESB implementation
is aligned with the business needs of the user base & that deployed
components are optimized to maximize performance within the ESB environment.
 This role is a crucial part of the DOE’s bid to create a Center of
Excellence for SOA through our ESB deployment

*Skills:*

   - IBM Websphere MQ Series administration & system experience is a must
   - Wide hands-on project experience with MQ Series & Message Broker
   administration & system on Windows 2003 servers/Linux is a must
   - Must have hands-on experience installing & configuring Microsoft
   Windows Clusters
   - Must have hands-on experience installing & configuring MQ Clusters
   - Must have hands-on experience installing & configuring Message Broker v
   6.x
   - Must have hands-on experience installing & configuring with Omegamon
   - Minimum of 7 years experience in MQ Series Administration & some
   applications development/support within a large organization
   - Experienced in administration & support of transaction processing
   systems
   - Must have experience working with Oracle, SQL, DB2 & other major
   database platforms
   - Experienced in Message Oriented Middleware (MOM) implementation &
   operation
   - Experience supporting an application software development group during
   development project cycles & after deployment
   - Knowledge of C, Java, JMS is helpful, in so far as to be able to
   support developers who use those languages & to develop small support
   applications to streamline day to day operations
   - Must be able to work on projects that extend MQ Series infrastructure,
   MQ Clustering, SSL channels support, Publish/Subscribe, etc.
   - Strong experience in supporting enterprise business critical messaging
   through a high available MQSI / MQ Series architecture which exploits MQ
   Series clustering & queue sharing
   - Must be fully competent to work under general direction on complex
   projects usually on specific assigned projects, issues & problems. Several
   projects will usually be active at the same time, so the ability to
   multitask is essential to success for this position
   - Strong experience in performing & supporting problem determination &
   resolution, production changes, & maintenance following Problem & Change
   Management processes
   - Ability to gain awareness of business or function, for which
   application is designed, is important
   - Strong experience with MQ Series Workflow admin production support
   - Must have experience configuring & securing communication channels
   between internal & external server resources.
   - Must have experience installing, configuring, & troubleshooting
   WebSphere Service Registry & Repository (WSRR)
