Position : Senior Flex Developer
Duration : 6+ Months
Location : NYC, NY
Description:
Daily interaction with development team and client. We are currently
seeking a Senior Flex Developer with 7+ years experience to work in
the Information Technology group. This hands-on development position
requires heavy interaction with application developers and operational
teams. This individual will be a part of the development team to build
new portal applications as well as support and enhance existing
applications in the Portal Content Group. Financial experience is a
plus.
Additional Information:
Strong technical background that encompasses client server
technologies with heavy emphasis on Flex & J2EE portal platform
development
Experience / hands on with Flex 3 and Action Script 3
Knowledge of MVC frameworks such as Cairngrom would be preffered
Other Programming experience: Java/J2EE, AJAX/JavaScript (Dojo with
DWR)
Tools:
Eclipse, Flex Builder Pro 3, profiling, code/platform
optimization and fine tuning server side integration knowledge;
Understand Ajax and how it is used in a portal environment
Must have strong Java programming skills, good understanding of common
design patterns used in object oriented implementations, and good
skills in front-end, middle-tier, and database programming
Must have proven, rock-solid experience on Flex-based UI behaviors,
data integration using SOA/WS.
Must have the capability to understand complex algorithms and
workflows
Comfortable meeting deadlines while delivering a quality product
CVS or similar source code control environment
Experience in Ant and Maven build is a plus.
Self-starter who is organized, works with minimal supervision, and is
a team player;
Must characteristically demonstrate strong leadership and initiative,
with excellent collaborative, communication and articulation skills.
Excellent team work and must have high level of communication and
articulation skills, including strong interpersonal skills and the
ability to work closely with other developers in a coaching or
mentoring relationship

Disciplined approach to defining and understanding technical
specifications and creativity to come up with one if lacking thereof

B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field required
