Hi , Our client is looking for a DataMart Developer – Portland, OR. This is a 6+ month contract position and client will hire off the phone after doing a Skype Interview (for nonlocal candidates). *OVERVIEW * The primary purpose and function of the Data Mart Developer is to act as a highly skilled contributor in the evolution and development of new information provided to executive management. *REQUIRED * High skill level and 3 or more years experience in DW and BI development required; using Oracle 11g, PLSQL, and the SAP/Data Services ETL tool (preferred version V3.0). *PREFERRED * Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field. Medical background (veterinary technician, human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.) with medical terminology training. *RESPONSIBILITIES * Contributes to the development and maintenance of the Data Mart, particularly utilizing SAP/Data Services (DS) and PLSQL with an Oracle 11g database. Designs and develops extract-transform-load (ETL) modules; particularly in creating/maintaining flexible and extensible DS data flows. Leads and/or participates in requirements gathering sessions with end user community Authors design and requirement documents Optimally uses relational and dimensional data models Creates unit and end user testing strategies Performs analysis and provides insight into potential process improvements (performance tuning) Embraces open dialogue and free exchange of ideas. Works with Team to choose the best solution for any given situation. Maintains and upgrades key software components.
