Responsibilities:
Architecture artifacts for Distribution Management Utility (DMU) in relation
to the Compensation Stability and Compensation Flexibility programs.
• Identifies key business and technology drivers that impact application
architectures, such as end-user community requirements, existing software
distribution capabilities, existing application environment (including
legacy and packaged systems), and performance and availability requirements.
Translates project requirements into detailed designs to be implemented
while balancing needs for immediate action and the point of arrival (POA)
vision.
• Designs architectures which account for legacy and packaged systems.
Designs external system interface architecture, including appropriate
application of techniques and standards such as service-oriented
architecture, web services, etc.
• Translates project requirements into detailed designs to be implemented
while balancing needs for immediate action and the POA vision. Ensures that
user requirements are sufficient to solution and provides guidance to
project teams regarding guiding principles, system and application design,
enterprise coding and design standards, best practices, and system
performance and availability.
• Identifies key business and technology drivers that impact application
architectures, such as end-user community requirements, existing software
distribution capabilities, existing application environment (including
legacy and packaged systems), and performance and availability requirements.
• Conducts assessments of current business and technology architectures
including: Functional assessment, (e.g. end user satisfaction, functional
overlaps/gaps) and Technical assessment (e.g. platforms, tool proliferation,
age of underlying technologies, uptime/availability, business processes).
• Develops testing strategies to validate functional and non-functional
requirements and potentially oversees test execution to validate coverage
and perform causal analysis.
• Provides feedback to Technology Strategy & Architecture, Standard Owners,
and Standard Owner Delegates on experience in complying with technology
standards and design best practices
Qualifications: Distribution Management Utility (DMU) experience preferred,
but strong distributed architecture experience required. Required: J2EE,
frameworks and best practices; Websphere; strong distributed architecture
experience, preferably within a large enterprise Preferred: Mainframe
experience, PACBASE/COBOL, SOA, ETL, Informatica, Experience in Financial
Services Industry Compensation Systems (specifically Versata DCM system) -
>5 years experience in architect role No skills or roles have been selected.
