*Title: Business Intelligence (BI) Architect Location: Dallas, TX Duration: through 01/15/2012 with possible extension thereafter Job Description:* - The role is primarily focused on developing Data Mart/OLAP solutions leveraging the Microsoft technology platform including SQL Server 2008, PowerPivot, SSAS (MDX) & SSRS. - The qualified candidate(s) should have significant experience architecting, developing, and implementing star and snowflake schemas for dimensional data mart structures, plus have significant expertise in SSAS and in the creation of complex SSRS reports. - This resource should not only know how to architect and build (hands on) but should also have strong documentation and oral communication skills such as to provide knowledge transfer to the business on the how and the why things were done the way they were. *Required Skills:* - More than 5 years experience in OLAP architecture design, multi-dimensional data modeling, data mart design, data security, ETL processes and process modeling - 5-8 years of experience being responsible for development and/or architecture in an enterprise data warehouse - Completed at least 1-2 data warehouse development efforts with SQL 2008 including OLAP design (SSAS) and ETL (SSIS) - At least 3 years of experience in Analysis Services (SSAS). - Solid experience with PowerPivot a big plus. - Expert level SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS/MDX) 2005/2008 skills - Expert level SQL Server 2005/2008 skills - Fluent in both MDX and T-SQL development (expertise in T-SQL stored procedure programming with MS-SQL Server) - Extensive experience with all phases of Data Warehouse development including prototyping, data modeling, analysis, design, development, testing, documentation, and training other team members. - Demonstrated understanding of multidimensional database design and architecture - Demonstrated business process modeling and requirements definition - Strong understanding of methodologies used to implement BI solutions - Experience in educating and knowledge transfer and training of internal personnel on BI solutions and best practices, both oral and written - Experience in Microstrategy or Cognos is a plus *Functional Skills:* - Analytical skills, problem solving ability, including the ability to research and trouble-shoot application problems - BI/DW design and solution architecture expertise - Ability to design, organize, and implement module, perform system testing, plan and automate tasks to maintain existing system - Ability to work well in small and large project teams - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills* Previous consulting experience preferred -- Regards, Shankar 248-522-6879 Technology consultanst inc -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP ABAP" group.
