*Job Title : Lead Business Analyst w/ Strong Fixed Income Experience Location : Jersey City ,NJ Duration : 24+ Monthss Rate : Market* Position Summary: Our client is looking for a Senior Business Analyst Team to work as part of a growing team supporting the Fixed Income department. Reporting to the Director of Technology for Fixed Income, this individual will be responsible for ensuring successful delivery of IT initiatives, managing Fixed Income related application development projects and maintaining the project portfolio. This includes managing and tracking developer activities, reporting on project status, driving project progress, understanding business issues and systems pertaining to Fixed Income trading as well as gathering and documenting project requirements. The position will also involve some project management – No direct reports and no management of people. Responsibilities: Work with IT leadership and the Fixed Income trading desk to understand the current and future needs and drive initiatives in support of business requirements. Assist in the scoping and coordination across internal development, external vendors, QA resources. Track project progress and maintain accurate project portfolio. Run complex projects from initiation to production. Plan and schedule project deliverables, goals, milestones. Proactively identify report on, and help resolve project issues and roadblocks. Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning. Help catalog and organize documentation for operational readiness and disaster recovery. Take the lead on the organization of technology readiness for disaster recover. Help manage vendor relationships. Help develop requests for proposals (RFPs) for external services. Track and confirm vendor invoices and maintain tracking of vendor spend. Assist in the development and tracking of technology budget in support of Fixed Income. Tracking of planned vs actual spend. Assist in the evaluation of products in the marketplace and identification of innovative solutions related to system enhancements and improvements. Manage interaction and communication of project status and IT related initiatives. Experience & Skills Required: Proven effectiveness as a project / program manager with progressively more complex responsibilities in a large capital markets group environment. High degree of knowledge of Fixed Income instruments. Strong related experience in fixed income technologies. Professional Project Management certification preferred. Clearly understands purposes, objectives, practices and procedures of the fixed income trading platform as well as interdependent functions of related business units. Maintains a solid knowledge of both internal and external systems, market offerings and market conventions. Excellent written and oral communication skills to make technical or non-technical material understandable to the business units and to conduct meetings. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to coordinate many concurrent activities is essential. Ability to work collaboratively across teams is essential. Ability to drive projects and provide leadership across disparate teams.
